Hi, my name is Mark. I’m a professional speaker and storyteller. I use the art of storytelling to anchor my message of hope in the minds of my audience.

When we tell stories, people listen. When we tell stories well, people remember.

If you have something important to say, you can’t afford to ignore the power of storytelling. Unfortunately, while we all tell stories, not everyone knows how to do it well.

I teach you not only how to tell better stories, but how to get the ones your already telling working better for you.

The VOWEL Method

Storytelling Framework

  • Start with the specific moment when everything changed. Don’t try to tell the entire story here. Just drop us into the moment.

  • Name the emotion that you were feeling. Choose something that the audience can relate to, and draw attention to that.

  • Reveal what changed in your thinking, belief, or awareness. What did the moment teach you, show you, or make you question?

  • Use vivid detail, pacing, and dialogue to help your audience feel like they were there. Let them experience it, not just hear about it.

  • Show how your story connects to something bigger. What tension, desire, or fear makes it relatable to others?

“The V.O.W.E.L. method is a simple, repeatable framework for crafting and delivering effective stories.”
